Acceptable Use Policy

1) Core Principles

  No malicious or deceptive use. The Services must not be used for phishing, fraud, impersonation, identity theft, malware distribution, deceptive redirects, or spam.

  Transparency. You must not disguise or misrepresent the true destination or purpose of a link, QR code, or Bio Page section.

  Safety first. Cliks.fi may suspend or terminate accounts, remove or block content/links, and report activities to competent authorities when misuse is suspected.

2) Scope: What This Covers

  Short Links & Dynamic QR Codes: Destination URLs must be legitimate and safe; excessive or misleading redirect chains are prohibited.
• •
  Bio Pages: Content, buttons, external links, forms, and embeds on Bio Pages must not solicit credentials or payment details under false pretenses, nor imitate brands or public bodies.
• •
  Analytics & Developer APIs: API keys must be secured. Automated/bulk uses must comply with applicable communications/consent laws and this AUP.

3) Prohibited Use (Examples)

  Phishing & Impersonation: Pages or links that imitate banks, payment services, government agencies, or well-known companies to obtain credentials or personal data.
• •
  Fraudulent campaigns: Fake giveaways, fabricated "account blocked" alerts, or false urgency social engineering.
• •
  Malware & Exploits: Links to harmful downloads, exploit kits, or unauthorized software.
• •
  Deceptive or masked destinations: Using short links/QR/Bio Pages to conceal a risky or unrelated final target.
• •
  Spam & Unsolicited Bulk: Unpermitted bulk redirections or messaging via API; evasion of rate limits or blocking.
• •
  Data harvesting under false pretenses: Forms that request passwords, PINs, payment data, or sensitive personal information without a lawful and transparent basis.
• •
  Illegal content or activities: Any content that violates applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.

4) User Responsibilities

  Accuracy: Ensure Bio Page content and link descriptions are accurate and non-misleading.
• •
  Security: Keep account credentials and API keys confidential; rotate keys and notify Cliks.fi immediately upon suspected compromise.
• •
  Compliance: Obtain and retain required end-user consents (e.g., SMS/WhatsApp/email opt-ins); honor unsubscribe/opt-out requests.
• •
  Reporting: Promptly report suspected abuse to [email protected].

5) Enforcement

  First violation: Content removal and request for clarification.
• •
  Severe or repeated violations: Immediate account termination, API key/IP blocks, link deactivation, potential notice to affected parties and law enforcement.
• •
  Reservation of rights: Cliks.fi may implement interstitial warnings, automated scanning, rate limits, and other protective measures at any time.
